Four women dressed in gold and red Punjabi clothing holding dhol drums. Tower Bridge in London can be seen in the background.

Get ready for an electrifying celebration of Punjabi culture as Bhangra Sounds launches at Bristol Beacon. This brand-new series presented by Asian Arts Agency showcases the energy, rhythm and spirit of Bhangra through live music, dance and DJs.

RSVP, Bristol’s longest-standing Bhangra band, light up the stage with their infectious fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds. Expect irresistible grooves, soaring vocals and an interactive introduction to Bhangra dance that guarantees a full-throttle Punjabi party.

Breaking boundaries in the scene, Eternal Taal – an all-female collective led by award-winning Parv Kaur – bring the thunder of the dhol and the colour of Bhangra dance. Renowned for their powerful energy and electrifying performances, they’ll have audiences clapping, moving and dancing together.

Completing the line-up, Bristol-based DJ and producer Indian Man blends his Punjabi roots with UK dub, garage and jungle. A regular at WOMAD and signed to Peter Gabriel’s RealWorld Recordings, his genre-crossing sets promise unstoppable dancefloor energy.
