The back of an audience sat watching a proud choral performance

At the heart of the evening is Vivaldi’s Gloria, one of sacred music’s most exhilarating and uplifting choral works.

Rich in colour and contrast, this radiant hymn of praise unfolds across twelve concise movements, carrying the listener from moments of festive brilliance and high drama to passages of deep tenderness and sorrow. Full of vitality and surprise, it is music that stirs both heart and spirit, with striking textures and unexpected moments that draw the audience into its story.

The programme will also include beloved hymns which we warmly invite the audience to join in, filling the hall with collective song and that unmistakable Christmas atmosphere. Alongside this, they’ll perform beautiful works by Bach, and the luminous O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen, a piece that captures the stillness, wonder and mystery at the heart of Christmas.
