North Mississippi native Cedric Burnside is a global ambassador of hill country blues. The grandson of the luminary RL Burnside, it was in his grandfather’s touring band that Cedric Burnside began his musical journey at the age of 13.
Now, Burnside has been forging his own path within blues for almost 30 years. His latest release I Be Trying takes his soulful sound to stark, stripped-down profundity, the fluidity of instrumentation and vocals harnessing a mesmerising and spiritual essence to his songwriting.
