Armed with a burning passion for the authentic rootsy music of the US, young British troubadour Connor Selby returns to Bristol in celebration of his forthcoming new album ‘The Truth Comes Out Eventually’.
Voted ‘Young Artist of the Year’ at the UK Blues Awards for three consecutive years, the fast-rising star echoes the trailblazing roots-based voices that have penetrated the mainstream in recent years, enveloping his music with a sincere emotional integrity. The heart-fluttering groove of lead single ‘Someone’ makes this immediately apparent with it’s euphoric blend of swirling Hammond organs, dancing guitar solos and silky-smooth layers of vocals, resulting in a sound that is both stirring and elegant.
No stranger to touring, he has already clocked up thousands of miles across the UK and Europe performing alongside the likes of Pearl Jam, Stereophonics, Beth Hart and The Who, whose legendary guitarist Pete Townshend featured alongside Selby on Mark Knopfler’s 2024 charity single ‘Going Home (Theme From Local Hero)’ with a host of other superstars including Bruce Springsteen, David Gilmour, Tom Morello and Brian May.
