Grammy-nominated musician, poet and painter Courtney Marie Andrews writes songs imbued with poignant lyricism and luscious instrumentation. The Phoenix-born artist released her first album back in 2008 before she’d even turned 18 and her striking songwriting prowess has carried through since.

The liliting Americana-infused folk of Andrews’ previous records has earned her comparisons to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. On her upcoming new album Loose Future, however, she explores new sound palettes, bringing dreamy synths and ethereal guitar arrangements into her repertoire.

“it’s rare to hear heartbreak dealt with as much nuance as Courtney Marie Andrews gives it.”

Support from

Robert Ellis

Robert Ellis is the Texas Piano Man who made Texas Piano Man, a record that nods at its honky tonk roots set by a guitarist as he finds more room to roam and pulls from a tradition set by Billy Joel, Leon Russell and Elton John.

Ellis’ play on this trope focuses on his Texas, a space so broad and wide open that it can contain the caricatures and archetypes seen from the rather narrow view so often taken from the outside, as well as the artists, oddballs and freaks who populate its many crannies.
