Join us for a lively and interactive day exploring the wide range of careers in the creative industries.

Discover! Creative Careers (DCC) supports young people aged 11–24 to explore careers across the UK’s cultural and creative sector, helping to make creative pathways more accessible and open to everyone.

The day is divided into three themed sessions: What are the Creative Industries?, an introduction to the breadth of creative careers and the skills and pathways behind them; ‘WOW!’ – Careers in Live Events, exploring the people and jobs behind some of the world’s biggest events; and A Sound and Lighting Experience, offering a behind-the-scenes look at technical careers in live music and events.

Each session includes a talk and Q&A in our Lantern Hall, followed by 30-45 minutes to explore the exhibitor area in Bridgehouse. Meet industry professionals from local creative and event companies, colleges, youth organisations and careers services, and discover more about training, further education and early career opportunities.

Whether you’re curious about what a creative career could look like or already have an idea of where you want to go, the day offers practical insights, hands-on experiences and inspiration for your next steps.

About Discover! Creative Careers

Discover! Creative Careers is a national programme supporting young people aged 11–24 to explore careers in the creative industries.

Funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and delivered by the Creative Careers Collective, the programme brings together Futures For All, Creative UK and Creative Access to provide careers support, industry engagement and opportunities for young people across the UK.

DCC aims to break down barriers to entering the creative industries, with a particular focus on young people from under-represented backgrounds and underserved regions. Through careers information, industry experiences and opportunities to develop skills and knowledge, the programme helps young people discover the many different pathways into the UK’s cultural and creative sector.
