A shoulder up image of a person leaning against a blank wall and windswept, long hair.

Icelandic pianist and composer Eydís Evensen has become one of the most captivating new voices in modern classical music.

Raised in the windswept northern town of Blönduós, Evensen’s work carries the raw beauty of her homeland, blending cinematic sounds, fragile piano lines, and stirring strings with moments of quiet intimacy.

Her debut album Bylur introduced listeners to her deeply personal style, while her latest release The Light expands her palette with choral textures, subtle electronics, and her own voice. Live, Evensen’s performances are immersive and emotional – holding rooms in rapt stillness as each note unfurls like memory.
