A choir comprised of young people wearing matching t-shirts which read 'EUROPEAN YOUTH MUSIC'.

Over 30 young refugees and asylum-seekers will be performing at the Bristol Beacon this weekend as a celebration of those individuals now living in the UK.

The choir was founded in 2018 as a response to the ongoing crisis in Syria where 32 young refugees and asylum-seekers took part in a week-long music course that culminated in a performance in Leicester Cathedral.

Participants of the choir are aged 16 – 26 and have come to the UK from a variety of countries, including Eritrea, Sudan, Afghanistan and Ukraine, often escaping unimaginable atrocities.
