A person dressed casually and standing in a stretch tent close to a speaker. They are looking to the distance and smiling.

As part of the BBC Proms at Bristol Beacon,  Proms presenter and host of BBC Radio 3’s Essential Classics, Georgia Mann, presents a Classical DJ set.

Georgia and Radio 3 Sound Engineer Rob Winter play a mix of great classical tunes, spanning  over 500 years of musical history. There’ll be big, famous works that you’ll recognise, but also some lesser-known gems, plus insights into the composers behind the music. Questions like: what is the greatest fanfare of all time? Which classical composer wrote a cover of New Order’s Blue Monday? And, what does an organ need a ‘swell box’ for? – will all be answered! Georgia will also be shining a light on some of the music and artists starring at the BBC Proms Bristol.
