
Hoo-Ha! Festival is our free festival for little people and their families. The first day of the festival on Wed 17 Aug will be a relaxed day for disabled and neuro divergent people, or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.
Come and enjoy performances from Kid Carpet and TJ Band sing along on the main stage, get crafty with Let’s Make Art and Ardman Animations, travel across the solar system in Explorer Dome and loads more in a safe, comfortable and slightly more relaxed environment.

What to expect
For the relaxed day we have made several changes to our building and the programme to make it more comfortable.
On this day, we will have:
- Lower numbers of people in the building
- Reduced lighting and noise levels all day
- A chill out room with comfortable seating
- A gentle and warm welcome
- Extra staff to support your interaction and help you access and navigate the building
- A carefully planned programme of activities led by specialist artists with expertise of working with young people with additional needs

This day will include a programme of live performances on the main stage on the lower ground floor as well as activities and workshops taking place on the higher levels of Bristol Beacon Foyer.

Main Stage
Lower Ground Floor
The Hoo-Ha Main Stage is the place to show off your best dance moves, get involved with silly games and sing along to your favourite songs.
You’ll find the Main Stage on the lower ground floor of the building – you can’t miss it!

Ground Floor
This is where all the young astronomers come to enter Explorer Dome. You’ll find the Dome opposite our box office. It’s also where you can park your buggies when you arrive.

Stalls bar
Level 1
Up the stairs you’ll find a whole area filled with creative activities you can get involved with. It’s a big space for you to play, get a bit messy and have fun.

Terrace Bar
Level 3
Chill out on our top floor where you’ll find some quieter spaces and activities with Aardman and Conductive Music.
