A distorted film image of a person with a ponytail

Scottish artist Kathryn Joseph returns with ‘WE WERE MADE PREY.’, her boldest and most unflinching album yet.

Known for her haunting voice and raw emotional honesty, Kathryn Joseph has carved out a powerful space in contemporary music with her award-winning, deeply personal work. Set for release on 30 May via Rock Action Records, the new record dives headfirst into themes of loss, longing, and shame and this time it’s louder, angrier, and more urgent.

Recorded with longtime collaborator Lomond Campbell on the Isle of Lewis, the album expands her signature piano-led sound with rich, atmospheric textures and visceral intensity.
