Kokoroko: POSTPONED

This event has passed

A group of six people dressed in monochrome shades looking directly into the camera.

Kokoroko seamlessly blend a melting pot of influences and experiences to usher in a new future, while drawing from the past and present.

Fronted by a female horn section with Sheila Maurice-Grey on Trumpet, Anoushka Nanguy on Trombone for live shows, Ayo Salawu on drums, Onome Edgeworth on percussion, Duane Atherley on bass, Tobi Adenaike-Johnson on guitar and Yohan Kebede on keys and synths to complete the vibrant ensemble.

Kokoroko take their audiences on a journey of patience and release. Their philosophy for the future, is very simple: “come as you are and share joy”.

It’s always a wonder when you see the extended ranks of bands like this only to press play and feel the music drift and dance and dart and play around your ears like gleeful kids.”
