Taking their name from an Orobo word meaning to ‘be strong’, London’s afrobeat collective KOKOROKO more than sonically live up to their name. KOKOROKO are a leading force of the London jazz community.

Featuring a seismic horn section, guitar, keys, drums and percussion, plus the enchanting vocals of frontwomen Sheila, Cassie and Richie, the band have received critical acclaim from BBC 6 Music, 1Xtra, Afropunk, Clash & NPR as well as clocking up over 40m views on YouTube.

KOKOROKO return to Bristol in 2022 following their sold-out show at the Trinity Centre last year with the brilliant new single ‘Baba Ayoola’ released on Brownswood Recordings.

The event will now take place on Wed 3 Apr 22 at Marble Factory. All existing tickets for the past two reschedules at SWX remain valid for the new date.

Support from

Loshh

Nigerian, Netherlands-born, London-based artist Loshh shares his long-awaited debut EP ÍFARADÁ alongside the lead single Ko Si Mo. Full of smoky Latin-tinged, percussion-heavy tracks produced by Santiago Morales set against his powerful vocal delivery. Citing King Sunny Ade and Fela Kuti as influences, their presence is strongly felt throughout the project as Loshh delivers his message with passion and hope as an
artist of integrity.
