Jazzata Winter/Spring

Michael Arbenz meets Andy Sheppard

Lantern Hall

Book Tickets

£24.64 - £25.76

A black and white image of two smartly dressed people on stage. One is playing saxophone and the other is playing piano.

Swiss pianist Michael Arbenz joins forces with legendary saxophonist Andy Sheppard for a night of bold improvisation and lyrical beauty.

Arbenz, Head of Jazz and Folk at Lucerne’s prestigious university, blends classical finesse with a love for improvisation, honed over decades with his celebrated trio VEIN and collaborations with jazz greats like Ron Carter and Dave Liebman.

Sheppard, once a Bristol local and now an international icon, brings his unmistakable tone and boundless creativity, shaped by work with Gil Evans, Carla Bley, and John Martyn, into rich dialogue with Arbenz’s intricate piano.
