Michael & Michelle

This event has passed

Two people wearing suits pose in a dimly lit cafe - one lying down on a brown leather couch and the other leaning against a wooden table.

‘Michael and Michelle’ is actor and musician duo Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Anatomy of a Scandal, The Gentlemen) and Michael Fox (Downton Abbey, Dunkirk). What started as a casual jam – in between shooting scenes and encouraged by a friend – quickly turned into something distinct, with the pair bonding through a shared passion over the course of a single evening.

They began singing and writing together between scenes on set, their sound taking influence from The Civil Wars and Angus and Julia Stone. Their first, self-penned EP The Watching Silence was recorded with Iain Grimble (Mumford and Sons, Bearsden) and released in May 2022 on Decca.

They are currently recording their debut album for release in 2024, and a film based on their music, performed by and starring both actors, is currently in development.
