The people sat down, clapping and one plays a ukulele

Join Bristol Beacon and London Symphony Orchestra this Spring for an interactive music-making workshop for people aged 5 – 100!

London Symphony Orchestra are in town, playing revolutionary and festive moods by Shostakovich, alongside a MacMillian concerto in Beacon Hall.

We thought we’d team up with players from LSO to make some music together on a spring Saturday. Together we will explore different sounds and instruments and create something new with everyone in the room. Shostakovich is sometimes known for secretly putting his name into the music in musical form. We are inspired by this and aim to make something that reflects everyone’s voices in the room.

The workshop is for anyone aged 5 and up, all generations welcome, no musical experience needed. If you have an acoustic (not electric) instrument that you would like to bring, feel free!
