Jazzata 40th anniversary concert series

Perfect Houseplants

This event has passed

Originally formed in 1992, Perfect Houseplants featured some of the most distinctive jazz musicians and composers in Britain, they rapidly garnered a reputation as one of the most innovative and challenging jazz groups to emerge from the 1990s.

With six albums under their belts spanning 1993 – 2000, including collaborations with the Orlando Consort, Pamela Thorby and Andrew Manze, the group’s unique and colourful compositions established them as an adventurous but accessible group on the cutting edge of European music.

Since the first listing of this band, unfortunately their star drummer Martin France has passed away, so the band are making this a tribute to Martin’s memory and his contribution to not only this band; but Jazz in general and his massive educational legacy.

As part of their 40th anniversary concert series, Jazzata is delighted to host the band once again – Mark Lockheart (saxes), Huw Warren (pianos), Dudley Philips (bass) and Tim Giles (drums).
