Four people pose in front of a wooden blue background.

Determinedly rebellious and proudly imbued with the spirit of punk, The Deep Blue have quickly established themselves as ‘Manchester’s hottest new band’ since bursting onto the UK underground circuit in 2021.

After coming together in lockdown, the four piece first gained notoriety with the release of their debut EP Taking on Water – a frenzied collection of songs showcasing the band’s penchant for hypnotic melodies, intricate arrangements and meticulously crafted lyrical content drawing critical acclaim from key indie press including DORK, The Line of Best Fit and Atwood Magazine.

Following the release of their sophomore EP Sugarcoat, The Deep Blue embarked on their debut UK tour, with sold out performances at Camden Assembly as well as Deaf Institute in their hometown of Manchester. The band have since enjoyed a summer of notable festival appearances including Y Not, Tramlines and even Truck Festival thanks to the Band App vote to play, with winning votes from industry tastemakers including So Young Magazine and John Kennedy of Radio X.
