What is Festival & Carnival Lab?

Festival & Carnival Lab is a training and mentoring programme run by Bristol Beacon for young Black people aspiring to careers in the live events industry. We offer hands-on experience in roles such as event management, stage management, and production.

The programme tackles the stark underrepresentation of Black professionals in the sector, where less than 0.1% of workers come from these communities, while celebrating the powerful influence of Black-originated music on festival and carnival culture.
