The Young’Uns combine spirited folk with joyful humour and striking storytelling.

The trio, comprised of Sean Cooney, Michael Hughes and comedian David Eagle, sing mostly acapella and are three times winners of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. They also created the international theatre production The Ballad of Johnny Longstaff, based on their 2019 concept album of the same name.

The trio’s latest album ‘Tiny Notes’ hones in on the poignancy of their harmonic and lyrical songwriting: addressing the gravity and despair of our current times but finding hope in spite of it all. Live, they’re renowned for bringing a life-affirming and dynamic performance not to be missed.
