A person playing guitar standing in front of a twisted tree and the ocean. They are wearing a traditional Malian robe.

A master of the guitar with an effortless, magnetic stage presence, Vieux carries forward the legacy of his father, desert blues pioneer Ali Farka Touré, while boldly forging a sound all his own.

Since the release of ‘Ali’, his acclaimed collaboration with US psych-rock superstars Khruangbin, Vieux’s star has soared, cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting and electrifying forces in contemporary world music. Blending the soul of traditional West African music with gritty blues riffs, psychedelic rock energy, and Latin grooves. Vieux’s live shows are a high-octane celebration, a wild, rhythmic journey that starts in Mali and moves the world.
