About the role
Key Information
Community Projects & Events Coordinator
Part time, 30 hours
Salary: £26,523.00 per annum (£21,505.14 pro-rata)
With our vision of uniting people through the joy of live music, we programme a diverse range of artists, showcase amazing community events, use our spaces for a range of commercial business events and host our inspirational Music Education Hub performances.
We’re looking for a passionate and organised individual to support the day-to-day coordination of Bristol Beacon’s dynamic Community Engagement programmes. As part of our award-winning Creative Learning & Engagement department, you’ll play a vital role in delivering inspiring music-making experiences that reach people of all ages and backgrounds across Bristol.
You’ll be at the heart of exciting community initiatives such as Hope Creative, Our Music Club, Massive Sing, and We Care Week, helping to bring music to care-experienced young people, those living with dementia, and communities facing barriers to access. Working closely with freelance musicians, community centres, and partner organisations like the BBC and London Symphony Orchestra, you’ll ensure events and workshops are welcoming, well-resourced, and truly impactful. If you’re a great communicator with a love for inclusive, community-focused work, this is your chance to help shape Bristol’s future as the UK Capital of Young People’s Music.
We reserve the right to close applications a week before the deadline if a suitable number of applications are received.
Diversifying our workforce
We are committed to developing a more diverse workforce through applicants with the skills and experience to help us to widen our perspective and better serve the needs of our communities.
We particularly encourage applications from disabled and ethnically diverse backgrounds as these groups are currently underrepresented within the arts and culture sectors.
