Beacon Music Centre is the award-winning music education hub for the city of Bristol. Our busy music education hub team provide high quality music tuition and music making opportunities to young people across Bristol.  We are looking for Music Centre Assistants to provide support to the team.

This will include administrative tasks such as registration, liaising with music centre tutors and parents and being able to provide some pastoral care to our young musicians when needed.  Our music centres are located around the city and hours are flexible, but are mainly during term-time, weekdays after school, and at Saturday morning music centres.

Previous experience of working with children and young people in an education environment is ideal, but all of our Music Centre Assistants receive comprehensive and high quality CPD throughout the year, including training, networking, and mentoring.  This role is subject to our Safeguarding procedures as it involves working with children and young people and an enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.

Diversifying our workforce

We are committed to developing a more diverse workforce through applicants with the skills and experience to help us to widen our perspective and better serve the needs of our communities.

We particularly encourage applications from disabled and ethnically diverse backgrounds as these groups are currently underrepresented within the arts and culture sectors.
