About the role

Key Information

Freelance Music Centre Assistants

£14.85 per hour

Bristol Beacon is the South West’s largest concert hall, promoting musical excellence, creative learning, and community engagement. Our newly refurbished concert halls and Music Education Centre are central to our mission of uniting people through the joy of live music.

You’ll welcome young musicians, manage sign-in and safeguarding processes, support tutors, help keep sessions running safely, and be a reassuring point of contact for parents and carers. From setting up rooms and instruments to assisting with concerts, you’ll play a key role in creating inspiring musical experiences for children and young people.

We’re looking for people who:
• Have experience working with young people (or are keen to learn)
• Are reliable, organised and confident communicating with families
• Have an interest in music education
• Can work evenings and weekends across Bristol
• Hold – or are willing to obtain – an enhanced DBS check

If you’re passionate about helping young people make music and want flexible, meaningful freelance work, we’d love to hear from you!

Diversifying our workforce

We are committed to developing a more diverse workforce through applicants with the skills and experience to help us to widen our perspective and better serve the needs of our communities.

We particularly encourage applications from disabled and ethnically diverse backgrounds as these groups are currently underrepresented within the arts and culture sectors.
