Work Experience

30th June – 4th July 2026

Bristol Beacon’s Work experience week for 2026 will take place from Tuesday 30th June until Saturday 4th July 2026 running from 10am – 3pm each day.

This is a friendly 5-day programme for 15 young people aged 14–15 (Year 10) who are curious about music, live events, and working behind the scenes at a world-class venue.

During the 5 days you’ll get the chance to:

Young person holding a microphone next to a sound desk
  • Learn what goes on behind the scenes at festivals and live music events
  • Find out about different jobs and career paths in music and events
  • Try out hands-on technical activities
  • Go on a guided tour of Bristol Beacon
  • Shadow staff during one of our Ensembles events
  • Work with a facilitator to design and plan your own event

No experience is needed — just curiosity and enthusiasm!

Important things to know

We ask for some diversity information in our Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form. This helps us make sure we’re offering inclusive opportunities and reaching young people from a wide range of backgrounds.

At the moment, we’re unable to offer work experience outside of this week for anyone aged 16 and under. If you’re over 16, please keep an eye out for future opportunities.

If you have any questions or want to know more, you (or a parent/carer) can email us at workexperience@bristolbeacon.org
