A person in a casual suit leaned over a type writer with book shelves in the background. The person is wearing glasses and has a pipe in their mouth.

One of America’s most celebrated humorists, David Sedaris has built a career turning the quirks of everyday life into razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud storytelling.

Beloved for his bestselling collections including Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, Calypso and Happy-Go-Lucky, Sedaris has become a master of the personal essay – equal parts caustic wit, satire and unflinching honesty.

His work regularly appears in The New Yorker, his audiobooks have earned multiple Grammy nominations, and his live readings are legendary for their mix of hilarity and poignancy. With more than 16 million copies of his books in print worldwide, Sedaris continues to shape the way we think about humor, memoir, and the absurdities of modern life.
