Berlin-based Kenyan sound artist KMRU joins the BNM 2026 lineup with immersive works shaped from field recording, improvisation and expansive drones, inviting deep, attentive listening.
Saint Abdullah, alongside Eomac and visual artist Rebecca Salvadori, present A Forbidden Distance – a powerful live audiovisual collaboration reflecting on displacement, memory and connection.
Egyptian artist YUNIS brings Opera for 1000 Crows, intertwining electronics, cello and voice. Rooted in Upper Egyptian funeral dance ritual, it becomes a transformative live experience, balancing mourning, play and the fragile space between life and death.
