Kuribo Jams

Where live music meets cypher culture

Lantern Hall

Book Tickets

£8.96 - £11.20 incl. booking fee

A large group of people dance together on the floor of a concert hall with wooden panel flooring and white walls. A band performs on stage under soft pink lighting.

Kuribo Jams – where live music meets cypher culture, returns to Bristol Beacon for its second edition.

Featuring a powerful house band of local musicians and dancers improvising together in real time – weaving in and out of the music and the crowd, responding to one another moment by moment. No fixed routines. No fixed setlist, just live exchange, instinct and energy.

After launching at Bristol Beacon earlier this year, Kuribo Jams returns this autumn – this time with new musicians, movers, rhythms and collaborators. Whether your background is jazz, grime, spoken word, all the way to breaking, ballroom, or something that doesn’t fit a label whatsoever – all styles of music and movement are welcome.

Musicians are actively encouraged to bring their own instruments and join the jam. Dancers are invited to step into the circle whenever the moment feels right. Kuribo isn’t a performance you watch from a distance. It’s a room that changes depending on who enters it.

Come to play. Come to move. Come to listen. Or come to stand at the back until the music pulls you forward.
