Grammy-winning musical phenomenon Jacob Collier will perform with a UK orchestra for the very first time in January 2025, joining forces with the 50-piece Britten Sinfonia for this unmissable concert.

Collier will be joined by fellow Grammy Award winner Chris Thile – the virtuoso mandolinist, singer, and songwriter – and conductor Suzie Collier, Jacob’s mother and guiding light, and former teacher of Britten Sinfonia’s lead violinist, Thomas Gould.

A wide range of favourite songs by Collier and Thile will be heard in new symphonic arrangements for the first time, alongside big-boned orchestral showstoppers by Anna Meredith (her electro-classical dance hit Nautilus) and Arturo Márquez (Danzón No. 2), solo Bach from Thile, Piazzolla’s “Spring” from Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, and two concerto movements by Bach and Barber with Collier and Thile as soloists. Expect also Collier’s remarkable Audience Choir, as featured at Glastonbury and the BBC Proms.

The mandolin played a role. Thile takes that a big step further, making the mandolin an outright shape-shifter.”
