The undisputed master of the Baroque J. S. Bach is heard here amongst his extended circle of family and colleagues in a vibrant programme of solo works, chamber sonatas, instrumental transcriptions and musical re-workings.
Endelienta Baroque, in their second performance at this year’s Clifton Festival, are stripped down to the exquisite instrumental combination of violin, viola da gamba and harpsichord as they delve into the effortlessly inventive oeuvre of Böhm, Abel, Erlebach, and, of course, Bach himself.
