The artist Hania Rani wearing a white vest with their hands wrapped around their face.

Polish pianist Hania Rani expresses emotive, arresting narratives with her intricately considered, cinematic compositions.

Since the release of her internationally acclaimed debut album ‘Esja’ in 2019, Rani has continued to expand her sparse, delicate soundscapes. On her follow-up record ‘Home’ “the addition of gentle, meditative electronic elements to Rani’s palette elevates her storytelling” (The Line of Best Fit).

Rani’s latest LP ‘Music For Film and Theatre’ showcases the various film compositions she’s worked on, highlighting the cinematic quality in her music and offering “a poignant introduction to [her] piano-and-strings world” (Resident Advisor).

“There are many modern minimal musicians doing their thing in 2020, but you could definitely name Hania Rani in the same sentence as Nils Frahm, Ludovico Einaudi, or Max Richter.”
