Join the amazing National Children’s Orchestras and world-renowned organist, presenter and NCO alumnus Anna Lapwood, for their dazzling Cosmic programme.

This concert is the culmination of this orchestra’s first week-long NCO residential of the year, which has included rehearsals, creative sessions and more. You can expect a warm, welcoming audience and to be inspired by really remarkable young musicians.

Make your own Dragon Art Workshop

Sun 12 Apr, 14.45 – 15.45, Bridgehouse, 

Perfect for children aged 5 and above (younger siblings welcome but note the workshop will be designed for 5+)

Join NCO and Colourful Minds and make your own colourful cardboard dragon face before the concert, using paint, collage, and lots of imagination. Inspired by How to Train Your Dragon we’ll use bold colours, shiny and scaly textures, and plenty of creative freedom.

All materials provided – just bring your ideas and get ready to make something magical!

Trenchard Street multi-storey car park is 200m away, directly behind Bristol Beacon.

Bristol Beacon is inside the Bristol Clean Air Zone. Check if your vehicle will be charged and how much you’ll have to pay.

  Bus

Most bus services stop in and around the city centre promenade, 250m from Bristol Beacon.

Mobility

Spaces for wheelchair users are in:

  • row S in the centre of the rear Stalls (10 spaces)
  • row Z in the left and right wings at the back of Lower Tier (4 spaces, 2 on each side),
  • row Z on the right only at the back of Upper Tier (2 spaces)

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs and emotional support animals are allowed in the performance space. Seats in row F are most suitable. If you prefer, you can leave your animal with a member of staff during the performance.

Hearing Facility

A Sennheiser MobileConnect assistive listening system is installed in the venue. Download the free App and use your own mobile device and headphones to listen to the performance. (Devices are available on request.)
