Led by acclaimed trumpeter Nick Malcolm, Out Front brings together five of the UK’s leading jazz musicians for an evening of adventurous, original music.
Rooted in the legacy of jazz visionaries Booker Little and Andrew Hill, the ensemble balances melodic, groove-driven passages with fearless improvisation and contemporary composition. Featuring a powerful three-horn frontline alongside drums and bass, Out Front draws on the members’ vast collective experience with artists including Robert Plant, McCoy Tyner, Eliza Carthy and Mulatu Astatke.
Expect inventive interplay, exceptional musicianship and a thrilling exploration of modern jazz performed by some of the country’s finest improvisers.

Location: Lantern Hall is located within Bristol Beacon. Head to Level 1 and follow signs to find the auditorium.

Spaces for wheelchair users are available within the first 10 rows on the flat floor of the Hall.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs and emotional support animals are allowed in the performance space. Seats in rows AA-J on the flat floor are most suitable. If you prefer, you can leave your animal with a member of staff during the performance.
Hearing Facility
