Following the huge success of our Reopening Orchestral Season, we are excited for the 2024/25 season to provide another bumper crop of inspiring artists and fine orchestras.
Our Associate Artists, the London Symphony Orchestra, will be back on two occasions, including one with the spell-binding Sir Antonio Pappano wielding the baton.
Our much-loved Orchestra in Residence, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, now with another of the country’s finest interpreters of great music as their Chief Conductor – Mark Wigglesworth – will be with us on no fewer than six occasions.
We are also thrilled to welcome the multi award-winning Sinfonia of London, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Symphony Orchestra, and from Argentina, the Buenos Aires Symphony Orchestra.
The new season’s distinguished soloists include violinist Nicola Benedetti (with the LSO) and pianists Sir Stephen Hough and Paul Lewis (both with the BSO). Plus the Icelandic superstar Víkingur Ólafsson – described by the Guardian as ‘a hypnotic presence at the keyboard’ – will play the last three of Beethoven’s deeply personal and intimate late piano sonatas in a solo recital.
We look forward to giving you the warmest welcome at the Beacon – enjoy the season!
