Led by British Jazz Awards Rising Star Rory Ingham, Trombone Assembly brings together five of the UK’s finest jazz trombonists for an evening celebrating the remarkable versatility of the instrument.

Featuring new compositions by acclaimed trombonist Mark Nightingale alongside fresh arrangements of jazz standards, the ensemble spans everything from rich, choral textures to swinging big-band sounds and intimate small-group interplay. Between them, the musicians have performed and recorded with artists including Frank Sinatra, Sting, Jamiroquai, Steely Dan and Quincy Jones.

Expect virtuosic playing, bold new music and a joyful showcase of the trombone at its expressive best.

Mobility

Spaces for wheelchair users are available within the first 10 rows on the flat floor of the Hall.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs and emotional support animals are allowed in the performance space. Seats in rows AA-J on the flat floor are most suitable. If you prefer, you can leave your animal with a member of staff during the performance.

Hearing Facility
