This summer, the Chorus of Westerly, from Rhode Island, USA, will embark on its sixth international tour, visiting France and the UK before a climactic, final performance at our transformed venue.

Joined by the City of Bristol Choir and Bath Philharmonia, this performance will bring over 230 musicians from both sides of the Atlantic to the same stage under the artistic direction of Westerly’s Andrew Howell and Bristol’s own David Ogden.

The programme’s first half includes timeless choral favourites such as Handel’s Zadok the Priest, Herbert Howells’ Magnificat from the Collegium Regale service and John Rutter’s bright and brilliant Gloria. The second half is dedicated to Mozart’s ‘Great’ Mass in C Minor, a profound choral masterpiece blending intricate counterpoint with emotive melodies, showcasing Mozart’s genius in sacred music.
