Critically acclaimed saxophonist and composer Mark Lockheart has made an indelible mark on jazz.

He rose to prominence in the mid-80s as “co-founder of the revolutionary big band Loose Tubes” (Guardian), formed part of the Mercury-nominated Polar Bear, and has also collaborated with the likes of Stereolab, Robert Wyatt and Radiohead across his career to date.

An ever ambitious artist, Lockheart’s latest project comes in the form of his Dreamers quartet. “In this new band his combination of lyrical economy and harmonic creativity has found three improvisatory soulmates” (Jazzwise).
