An orchestra performs on stage in a large auditorium. Colourful lines rise upwards from the orchestra. Text: 2025/26 BRISTOL BEACON ORCHESTRAL SEASON

This season, we continue to host a dazzling array of orchestral music, presenting some of the UK’s most iconic orchestras alongside international ensembles from the Czech Republic, Poland and Spain.

Our Orchestra in Residence, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, present seven contrasting programmes, and our Associate Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, visit us three times, including a first visit for their acclaimed London Symphony Chorus. The partnership we enjoy with these renowned ensembles includes community and education programmes which ensure the power of music reaches well beyond the confines of the concert hall.

We also greatly anticipate Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and The Hallé joining us this season, plus chamber musicians from Manchester Collective performing their unique blend of cutting-edge music and classical masterpieces in Lantern Hall for the first time.

One of the highlights of 2026 will be the unveiling of The Britton Organ, fully restored in its 70th anniversary year and featuring in three concerts this season. Anna Lapwood will perform its opening recital in January, followed by its appearance in Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius (22 April) and Anna Lapwood’s return (17 June) for the organ-themed closing concert with the BSO.

With guest artists including Sir Simon Rattle, Vasily Petrenko, Jennifer Pike, Viktoria Mullova, Mark Wigglesworth, Jess Gillam, Lucy Crowe, Sir Antonio Pappano and Antoine Tamestit, we know the acoustic of Beacon Hall will be put to fantastic use.
